America Reads TutorCreate a bright future for upcoming generations by becoming a tutor! As a tutor for America Reads, you will assist Hillsborough County students in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades in the subject of reading. Six to nine students from one classroom will be assigned to you for one-on-one tutoring sessions for the entire school year. The schools we serve are all within a few miles of campus: Pizzo Elementary, MOSI Partnership School, Mort Elementary, Kimbell Elementary, and Shaw Elementary. The rate of compensation is: $9.00 per hour for new tutors, $9.25 for returning tutors; paid through Federal Work Study. Hours available to work: 8am-2pm, M-F.

 

In order to be eligible for the tutoring position, you must be a student who has been awarded Federal Work Study for the 2009-2010 academic year.
