Big Brothers / Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters is about "Little Moments, Big Magic". This wonderful program allows volunteers to bring magic into a child’s life and magic into their life as they soon realize they are gaining as much as they are giving through their interaction with a child.
In the fall of 2003, Leadership & Civic Engagement established a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters to create the USF Bigs in Schools program. Since this, this program matched 120 USF students each year as weekly mentors to local children. Students mentored both in site-based (schools and after-school programs) and community-based programs. One hour per week can have such a huge impact! Bigs are even able to meet their "Little" at schools on campus!
Become a mentor today. There are opportunities to mentor right here on campus or in the community.
